Patient experience of A&E during winter pressures
As your local Healthwatch we welcome people sharing their experiences of using health and social care services. Last July we visited the A & E departments at The Royal Liverpool Hospital, Alder Hey Children's Hospital and Liverpool Women's Hospital as part of a joint listening event with eight other local Healthwatch in Merseyside and Cheshire. We asked the same questions on the same day at the same time.

We planned our follow-up visit to take place in January but have postponed the joint listening event due to the pressures A & E departments are currently facing.

We have re-arranged our visit to Alder Hey Children's Hospital A & E department for Monday 19 March 2018 while Healthwatch Sefton will be at Southport Hospital, Healthwatch Knowsley will be at Aintree Hospital and Healthwatch St Helens are at Whiston Hospital. Our visit to the Royal Liverpool Hospital A & E department will now take place in early April.

If you've used any local A &E department this winter, we'd like to encourage you to complete our joint survey to capture your feedback.

We use your feedback to help improve services for everyone in Liverpool by sharing our key findings and concerns with service providers and commissioners. (All responses are confidential and no identifying information will be shared)
