2018 High School Student Congress Application
The Henry Clay Center for Statesmanship (HCCS) invites applications from motivated and qualified high school juniors from across the United States to participate in the 2018 Student Congress. The 2018 Student Congress will be held June 11-16 on the campus of Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky.

The application must be submitted electronically on or before February 16, 2018. Any application parts received after that date will not be considered.

A completed Student Congress Application must include all of the following components in order to be considered:

Part I - Personal Information Section

Part II - One teacher recommendation

Part III - Two Application Essays

1.What is the greatest conflict our nation will face in the next quarter-century, and how will compromise and consensus building prove essential in managing and solving this conflict? Please use at least one well-selected source (such as a newspaper account, an objective web-based source, or even an academic study) to help detail and/or support your claim. Your audience includes college professors and administrators.

2. The Henry Clay Center for Statesmanship Student Congress brings together a diverse class of outstanding students from across the country. Why do you want to attend the 2018 Student Congress?

Part IV - Completion of the Leadership, Involvement and Service Form
