For the Summer of 2026 SBHS will be using an outside vendor for online classes called Edgenuity for Credit Recovery. This is the only option for summer credit recovery classes this year.
All courses will be fully virtual and are asyncronous, so the classes can be worked on at any time.
The cost for each class is $225.00 and payment must be made online through
MySchoolBucks. Please locate the Classes for Credit Recovery option. A separate payment may be required for each class if more than one, or a course for Original Credit, is needed.
Please complete this form and, once the payment has been confirmed, students will be registered for their classes by the Credit Recovery Summer School Coordinator,
Anastasia Marcella. Students can take up to three classes, so payment for all classes must be made in full before registration will be completed. Accommodation for students with 504 plans and IEPs can be provided with parental permission to share the plan with Edgenuity.
If a student is a prospective NCAA athlete, credit recovery classes are not counted for athletic eligibility for Division I and Division II athletics. A full-credit course MUST be taken, so please contact
Anastasia Marcella directly to discuss the course that will be accepted by the NCAA. There will be an additional cost for full-credit courses through Edgenuity.
If an Original Credit course is needed due to other ci
rcumstances, please contact Anastasia Marcella directly.
The online credit recovery courses are very challenging and there is no face-to-face instruction, however there are teachers at Edgenuity who can be contacted through the online course site as well as by telephone for assistance. Most online courses require essays. This is carefully monitored by Edgenuity and the SBHS integrity policy applies for all online assignments, including tests and exams.
MANDATORY virtual orientation for ALL students taking Credit Recovery courses will be on June 30 OR July 2 at 9:00 a.m. (you must attend ONE session only). Link to Virtual Orientation session: Virtual Orientation
The deadline for completion of all classes is July 31, 2026 -- there will be no extensions for any summer class. It is the responsibility of the student and their parents to monitor their course progress and adhere to all of the course requirements and timelines.
