Mississippi Literacy Association 2019 Scholarship and Grant Application
The Mississippi Literacy Association Scholarship and Grant Program is intended to support MLA members in their inquiries about literacy instruction and teaching as they strive to improve reading education in their classrooms and schools. Must be a member to apply.

Submission Deadline: ​ October 25, 2019 Maximum Award Amount: ​$500

Scholarship Eligibility: ​To be eligible for the scholarship award, the applicant must be currently enrolled in a literacy course at the graduate level. The scholarship can be used for tuition, books, and materials associated with the current graduate-level reading course up to $500. Applications must be accompanied by the applicant’s current class schedule highlighting the literacy course and emailed to msreadingassociation@gmail.com.

Classroom Grant Eligibility: ​To be eligible to apply for the classroom grant award, the applicant must be currently teaching reading in an elementary, self-contained, or departmental setting in a Mississippi school. The grant funds can be used for innovative classroom or school projects or events.
