WasabiCon PDX 2025 Panel Submission
Thanks for your interest in submitting a panel for WasabiCon. As a reminder, we do not offer comp passes for a solo panel. If you are interested in doing more programming, we suggest you submit an application for Featured Talent denoting what you have to offer there.

As a fan-driven pop culture event, we look for programming and presentations that appeal to a wide range of interests. Our core focus, however, is on the following topics:

ANIME, MANGA & ASIAN POP CULTURE
This can include a variety of indirectly related topics, too, such as Kpop, Western Animation, and fashion.

COSPLAY
Cosplay is for everyone, so showcasing the culture in new creative ways sparks excitement in fandom! Topics from costume creation to maintaining your brand as a cosplayer are among potential discussion points.

GAMING, ANALOG
Presentations about board, card, and all manner of tabletop games are welcome. This can range from the creative development process to demonstrations and more.

GAMING, DIGITAL
Video games are a massive part of modern entertainment. Topics here include everything from genres, platforms, streaming, cultural impact and more.

WORKSHOPS
These can apply to one of the above categories, but - instead of a panel room - you need space for participants to work on tables with supplies. Please denote if you are supplying or charging a fee under "Anything else you'd like to tell us?" Things like dance workshops (and RDPs/Random Dance Plays) would fall under this category.

What category would your panel fall under? *
We understand that some panels may fall under multiple genres, but please choose the one that you feel best fits.
What audience is this panel for? *
Please specify the age range of the audience your content would be appropriate for. WasabiCon does consider 18+ content to take place after 8:00 PM, but it is not guaranteed.
What days of the convention are you available to host programming? *
Check all that apply. The greater your availability, the better your chances are for approval.
Required
Panel Title *
Write this EXACTLY as you want it to appear in the con guide and website.

Examples:
Intro to Transformers Anime
Transformers After G1: The Anime Years
More Than Meets The Eye: Transformers & Anime

Please note that we reserve the right to edit your title for clarity.
Panel Description *
Write this EXACTLY as you want it to appear in the con guide and website. Be descriptive and avoid talking about yourself ("the panel will present" instead of "we will present," etc.) Also, PLEASE CHECK YOUR GRAMMAR.

Example:
Did you know that after The Transformers cartoon got canceled in 1987, it continued in Japan as an anime? Learn about The Headmasters, Super-God Masterforce, and other Japanese series that never aired in North America. There was even an anime version of Beast Wars! Don't miss this "transformative" presentation.

Please note that we reserve the right to edit the submitted description for brevity, clarity, etc.
