Subscribe Here! Title: Increasing Dignity in Food Assistance
Description: 1 in 5 families with children in the US are food insecure. While food assistance is a critical safety net for these families, many policies and practices within the food assistance system promote stigma and discrimination against participants, resulting in less effective services and perpetuating inequities. In this talk, we will discuss how families experience stigma within the food assistance system and strategies to increase dignity and better address food insecurity in the US.
