MLK, Jr. National Historic Park and Ebenezer Baptist Church Tour
This AMIS gathering will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 20 in the Fellowship Hall of the present day Ebenezer Baptist Church located at 101 Jackson Street, NE, 30312 (not the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church across the street - we will go there during the tour) If you drive, park in the National Park parking lot and enter the church through the Jackson Street entrance. We will gather for refreshments and introductions and then we will tour the sites in groups of international students and Americans. We will try to get tickets to tour the birth home of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (these are only given out the day of, and if we get them, you will receive your ticket when you arrive) and since these have timed entrances, groups will tour the National Park Visitor Center, the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church, and The King Center around the schedule of the birth home tour. Please schedule 2-3 hours for the afternoon.
