Kino T.O. and TSFF's The Smartphone Film Kabaret is inviting you to get ready for a crazy 48-hour film challenge!
Application Period: May 13 - June 2, 2019
Application Guidelines:
- Fill in the Application Form (One Applicant per Team)
- Submit a Reel for Review (One Reel per Team)
- Application is Free of Charge
Notification Date: Monday, June 10, 2019, at noon (time is tentative)
*Team formation is not mandatory at the time of Application. Challenge Organizers will provide a networking opportunity at The Pre-Launch Event for Applicants to find team members for the challenge.
Challenge Details:
- Total Participating Teams/Finalists: 8 (Teams/Finalists will be chosen based on their Reels)
- Mandatory Participation Fee: $40/Team
- If you are from outside Toronto, transportation/accommodation costs will be at your own expense
- Challenge Headquarter for 48 hours: Participants will have access to this space for the full duration of the Challenge (recording studio, editing room, meeting room(s), a lounge and bar).
- Location: George Brown College (230 Richmond St. E., 2nd FL, Toronto)
- Room 204 (headquarters), 205, 206 (editing room), 207
- Screening Location: Innis Town Hall (2 Sussex Ave., Toronto)
- Closing Night and Award Ceremony Location : Innis Town Hall on Sunday, June 23, 2019 (3:00 pm)
Challenge Schedule:
- June 20th: 6:00 pm - TSFF Pre-Launch Event (Announcement of the Challenge, Teams, Specifications and Networking)
- June 20th: 9 pm - Challenge Begins
- June 22nd: 9 pm - Challenge Ends
- June 23rd: 3:00 pm - Challenge Screening
- June 23rd: 4:30 pm - Awards Ceremony
