Misheberach / Prayer for Healing
We invite you to add the name of a person in need of comfort and healing* to our list of names that we read during our services. Once you've entered the name here, it will be read aloud each week until you ask us to remove the name. Please submit a separate form for each name by noon on Friday so we can say the name(s) that Friday night.

To make changes or contact us with questions, please email Daniella Yitzchak at office@keenesynagogue.org or Rabbi Dan Aronson at RabbiDA@keenesynagogue.org.

*In our community we recite the Misheberach prayer for persons who are recovering from an illness or medical procedure or who are suffering physically, emotionally and/or spiritually, regardless if their suffering is acute or chronic. While many are inclined to pray for the spiritual healing of mourners, the customary way of comforting mourners in the Jewish tradition is through visitation during shiva and personal expressions of condolence. The names of mourners are also mentioned when we say the names of the deceased before we recite Kaddish.

You may provide either or both the person's given name as well as their Jewish/Yiddish/Hebrew name. Traditionally Jewish/Yiddish/Hebrew names are given in the form of So-and-So son of/daughter of Mother of So-and-So. Examples: Rivka bat Sarah or Yitzchak David ben Rachel.
How are you related to this person?
We will only say the name of the person for whom you are praying. Having your relation to the person will help Rabbi Dan and the caring committee reach out to you if appropriate.
