Forest Hill Church - 2026 Community Grant Nomination Form

In 2023, the Justice Ministry revised community grants and that process will continue in 2026. We are asking Forest Hill Church members to nominate organizations to receive Community Grant funding. There are three levels of funding ($500, $1000 and $3000), and we anticipate that close to $15,000 in grant funds will be distributed. **Please note that due to budget limitations, only two or three grants of $3,000 will be awarded.

In 2021, the Justice Ministry shifted to align Community Grants to Matthew 25 commitments, and that will also continue. We anticipate that it could be helpful for members to learn more about Matthew 25 to inform your conversations with organizations. The three Core Pillars are:

Building Congregational Vitality

Dismantling Structural Racism

Eradicating Systemic Poverty

This also includes three Intersectional Priorities:

  • Climate Change
  • Gender Justice and Heteropatriarchy
  • Militarism

For the past few years, these grants have focused support on organizations serving near the FHC community (Cleveland Heights, East Cleveland, Cleveland, and in a few cases, Northeast Ohio). This is not required in 2026, but will be considered by the review committee.

To nominate a nonprofit organization for funding through the Forest Hill Church Community Grants, please complete all fields on this form. Nominations must be submitted by Monday, June 15th at 5:00 pm EST.

FHC members who nominate an organization to receive support must be sure to discuss this nomination with the organization prior to submitting this form. Please note that no member may nominate an organization at which they or a family member are employed. FHC Community Grant reviewers may nominate an organization, but they must recuse themselves from discussion or decision-making about that nomination. These grants may be for general operating or a specific project or activity.

This nomination form should be filled out by the FHC member. It may be done electronically (via this Google Form) or by hand (hard copies are available in the church lobby). Please reach out to Chenoa Stock (314-448-0005 or pcusa.mcw@gmail.com) for any support or questions about the nomination process, the form or funding levels - we are here to make the process run smoothly! We will be in touch with you and the organization's contact person with the results in early July and funds will be distributed shortly thereafter. Thank you for your patience and participation!
