Malaysian CSO-SDG Alliance Membership Application Process

1. Application Submission:
  • This form will require key information about your CSO, including its background, mission, experience in championing localisation of CSOs, and the reasons for wanting to join the Alliance.
  • All mandatory sections must be completely filled.

2. Initial Screening:
  • Once your application is submitted, an automated confirmation email will be sent to the CSO, acknowledging the receipt of the application.
  • The Membership Committee will review the application to ensure that it meets the preliminary requirements. This may involve a review of your CSO’s activities, reach, relevance to the Alliance’s goals, and the accuracy and completeness of the information provided.

3. Detailed Review by the Membership Committee:
  • Post initial screening, the Membership committee will conduct a comprehensive review of your application. This may involve:
    • Seeking additional information or clarification from the CSO, specifically supporting documents.
    • Assessing the alignment of your CSO's objectives with the goals of the Alliance.
    • Any other relevant checks deemed necessary by the committee.

4. Final Approval by the Co-Chairs:
  • Your application will, then, be forwarded to the Co-Chairs for final approval.
  • The Co-Chairs will assess your application based on the Alliance’s strategic priorities, balance of member representation, and any other criteria they find pertinent.
  • Upon approval, the CSO will receive an official welcome letter, and any other pertinent materials, via email.

5. Introduction to the Malaysian CSO-SDG Alliance Members:
  • Once approved, your CSO member will be added to the Alliance’s official WhatsApp group.
  • An introduction email will be sent to all existing CSO members, welcoming your CSO as the new member and providing a brief about your work and role in the Alliance.
  • This will serve as an avenue for existing members to reach out, connect, and collaborate with you.

ORGANISATION REPRESENTATIVES
The Alliance allows for the nomination of two representatives from the Member Organisation. These representatives will be added into the Alliance Whatsapp Group and will serve as contact persons between the Alliance and the Member Organisation.

In the event of any changes, please be informed that there is a need to submit an official request to change the representatives. There will be a process which requires approval from the Membership Committee and the Co-Chairs.
