Kahnawà:ke Forum on the role of the University in Supporting Indigenous Languages - Registration Form
On May 10th and 11th, McGill University is hosting a two-day symposium examining the roles universities, as institutions of higher learning and research, can and should play in supporting efforts towards language maintenance and revitalization. Fourteen Indigenous language scholars, teachers and program developers from across Canada have been invited to discuss this important question. On May 11th, an Open Forum will be held in Kahnawàke at the Host Hotel to share pedagogical practices learned and knowledge gained and to hear from the community how best McGill University and other institutions might contribute. Registering your participation in the open forum is optional, but doing so will help us plan the session.
