1. Acknowledgment and Assumption of Inherent Risks

I understand and acknowledge that competitive fishing and boating involve inherent risks, hazards, and dangers that cannot be entirely eliminated. These risks include, but are not limited to: drowning; slips and falls; injuries from fishing equipment (including hooks and lures); boating accidents and collisions; equipment failure; unpredictable or severe weather conditions (including wind, lightning, and extreme temperatures); encounters with wildlife; and the actions or negligence of other participants or boaters.

I knowingly, freely, and voluntarily assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the Releasees (defined below) or others, and I assume full responsibility for my participation.

2. Release of Liability

In consideration for being permitted to participate in the Northwoods Team Trail, I, for myself, my spouse, my heirs, executors, administrators, assigns, and next of kin, hereby fully and forever RELEASE, WAIVE, AND DISCHARGE the Northwoods Team Trail, its organizers Mark Hanowski and Nick Retka, as well as its volunteers, sponsors, partners, agents, and affiliates (collectively referred to as the "Releasees") from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, or causes of action for any injury, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or property, arising out of or related to my participation in these events, WHETHER CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

3. Indemnification and Hold Harmless

I agree to INDEMNIFY, DEFEND, AND HOLD HARMLESS the Releasees from any and all liabilities, damages, claims, lawsuits, costs, and expenses (including attorney’s fees) arising directly or indirectly from my participation in the Northwoods Team Trail, or from any breach of this agreement, whether caused by my own actions or the actions of third parties.

4. Compliance with Rules and Laws

I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and agree to strictly abide by all Northwoods Team Trail rules and regulations. I further agree to comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, including boating and fishing regulations. I understand that failure to comply with these rules or laws may result in immediate disqualification and removal from the event without a refund.

5. Media and Promotional Release

I hereby grant the Northwoods Team Trail and its sponsors the irrevocable right and permission to photograph, record, and use my name, image, voice, and likeness in any media (including social media, websites, and promotional materials) for advertising, broadcasting, or reporting purposes, without any compensation or prior approval.

6. Severability and Governing Law

I agree that this waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of Minnesota. If any portion of this agreement is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall continue in full legal force and effect.
