1. About the EURORDIS Leadership School
The EURORDIS Leadership School is a capacity-building programme for European Patient Advocacy Groups (ePAGs) advocates which aims at empowering patients to be valued partners in European Reference Networks (ERNs).
The 2020 edition of the EURORDIS Leadership School consists of a series of webinars, to be held from April to November, and a 2-day face-to-face training session on 6-7 October, in Barcelona. You can find the webinar topics, dates and schedule here:
The training topics of this school cover a range of leadership topics including: self-awareness, communicating with impact and conflict resolution.
Please check your availability for the schedules of webinars and face-to-face before applying.
2. Conditions to apply and attend the EURORDIS Summer School
Profile: The EURORDIS Leadership School targets ePAG advocates with a leadership role, representing the wider patient community in ERNs Boards, ERN topic-based working groups and ERN disease-specific working-groups. Preference will be given applicants who have been an ePAG advocate for at least 2 years.
Commitment: Participants will be required to attend the 8 webinars, taking place from April to November, as well as all the face-to-face training sessions, on 6-7 October 2020.
Out of the 8 webinars, a minimum of 6 webinars need to be attended live, at the time they are scheduled. The remaining webinars need to be watched as a recording.
If you are not sure that you can undertake these commitments, please refrain from applying.
Costs: EURORDIS will cover the training, the accommodation and meals during the training hours. Participants must cover their travel costs. 5 fellowships (€250) will be awarded to 5 participants, to cover travel costs. Applications for the fellowships will be launched with the announcement of the selected candidates.
Membership of EURORDIS: All participants must represent an organisation which is a member of EURORDIS. If this is not your case, you can still apply for this training. Should you be selected, your organisation will be asked to hand in an application to become a member of EURORDIS within 2 weeks after the notification of your selection. If your organisation is not able to do so, you will not be able to join the training.
30 participants will be selected based on the criteria above.
