Cooking and baking expectations:- In advanced and teen camps, some students will practice knife safety and cutting techniques using 6-8 inch sharp chef knives.
- Under teacher supervision, students will occasionally have the opportunity to help stir our class pot and learn to safely use electric mixers, spiralizers, and food processors.
- We will provide vegetarian option upon request at registration.
- We cannot provide gluten free or dairy free substitutions.
- Students are responsible for making and completing their own food. If a student falls ill or chooses to stop participating, they might not leave with a completed dish or baked good.
- Students are expected to maintain the same behavioral standard that they would during the formal school day.

Parent pick-up details are listed on registration and the welcome email.
Early Pick-up:- Students getting picked up early are not guaranteed a completed meal or baking project.
Late Pick-up:- If you’re running late, please call or text with student’s name and ETA. We will provide a 10 minute grace period.
- Parents arriving over 10 minutes late may be charged $20 for late pickup. If parents are repeatedly late, we may suspend enrollment without refund.
Lunch: - Each day we will walk to a local park to have lunch and play.
- Please pack a lunch, snack, and water bottle.
SafetySafety of students is of highest priority. Program staff work very hard to maintain an environment where students can participate in activities safely.
All our instructors have current First Aid/CPR certification. Occasionally students may experience minor injury while participating in activities. When that happens, program staff use their first aid knowledge to take care of the student. All staff carry basic first aid supplies with them throughout the day.
If a child is significantly injured, the staff will immediately call 9-1-1 as well as notify a parent or guardian. In the event of a natural or other disaster, students will remain under the direct care and supervision of program staff until an authorized individual is able to check them out.

rainydaydinnerclub@gmail.comCell Phones and Other Smart Devices To ensure the privacy and comfort of all students, we request that electronic devices, including smart glasses, watches, and phones, be left at home.
- Alternatively, students may storage their devices in their backpack or cubby to keep these items secure during instructional time.
Medical Devices: If your child has a medical device please let us know via email and we will work to find a food safe way for them to carry it during class.
Absences- For safety and security, please notify us if a student will be absent. Please call or text (206) 473 1482 with student’s first and last name and the camp.
- Unfortunately, there are no refunds, substitutions or exchanges for days or weeks that students cannot attend.
Allergies- We do NOT adhere to a “nut-free” policy at Rainy Day Dinner Club. However, we will attempt to minimize risk to vulnerable students. We have a “no trading and no sharing” policy, which we attempt to enforce consistently. In addition, instructors are informed of any student who has allergies and will do their best to monitor those students.
- WE CANNOT ACCOMMODATE students with WHEAT, GLUTEN, or DAIRY ALLERGIES.
- If your child has any food/substance allergies, please note them during registration and please ask your student not to accept snacks with other students. Programs staff will follow up with families on a case-by-case basis. Parents/guardians are responsible for providing any necessary medical supplies and detailed instructions on use. (e.g., EpiPen).

- Students are expected to maintain the same behavioral standard that they would have during the formal school day.
- If a child is consistently disruptive and prevents the instructor from conducting class, we reserve the right to ask the child to drop the camp. Parents will be given a formal warning before these measures are taken.
- If a child is being physically or verbally abusive or is a danger to themselves or others, we reserve the right to ask the child/parent to drop the camp.
Sunscreen, each day we will spend some time outside. Please pack sunscreen, if you don't provide sunscreen we will have Trader Joe's Nourish Spray Sunscreen SPF 50+ Broad Spectrum on hand.
Refund Policy, student tuition is refundable as follows:- There is a $25 non-refundable registration and processing fee on all camps and classes.
- All school fees are collected separately, please contact your school directly regarding school fee refunds.
- Two weeks prior to class start date- Full refund (minus registration, taxes, and school fees)
- Two weeks through one week prior to class start date- 50% refund (minus registration, taxes, and school fees)
- Cancellations made one week or sooner to the first day of class will not receive a refund.
- There are no refunds or make days for student absences. Due to our linear approach to cooking, a friend or sibling cannot replace an absent student.
