Thank you for your interest in joining us for the Anime Milwaukee 2019 Masquerade! Please read the following information PRIOR to filling out the registration form.
ANIME MILWAUKEE 2019 TIME REQUIREMENTS
CONVENTION: FEBRUARY 15-17, 2019

PRE-REGISTRATION OPEN: WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 15, 2018
PRE-REGISTRATION CLOSE: MONDAY, DECEMBER 31, 2018

SKIT REVIEW: SCHEDULE TBD
CRAFTSMANSHIP JUDGING: SCHEDULE TBD

MASQUERADE CALL TIME: SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2019 @ 3:45 PM
MASQUERADE START TIME: SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 2019 @ 5:30 PM

MASQUERADE OFFICE HOURS:
FRIDAY: 9:30 AM-12:00 PM AND 1:00 PM-6:30 PM
SATURDAY: 9:00 AM-12:00 PM, 1:00 PM-4:00 PM, AND 8:30 PM-9:00 PM
SUNDAY: 10:00 AM-1:00 PM FEEDBACK SESSION
ANIME MILWAUKEE 2019 MASQUERADE RULES
CODE OF CONDUCT

-All costumes and performances must conform to convention and state guidelines for decency.
-No profanity or lewd gestures in English or other languages.
-No skit or cosplay may be used to create a negative environment nor include controversial material.
-One entry per person, one walk-on or one skit, you can not do one of each.
-Four in a group per walk-on, eight in a group per skit.
-Entry and exit from the stage may only be made at the designated areas.
-Absolutely no surprises allowed. Do not deviate from your approved performance.
-The Masquerade Department Head reserves the right to have the final word on all decisions regarding the Masquerade and Hallway Cosplay Competitions.

PROPS

-No live steel or firearms.
-All prop firearms must have an orange tip with no projectiles loaded.
-All blades must be fake and dull.
-All ranged weapons, such as bows, must not be tight strung.
-No part of your performance or costume may leave the stage and go into the audience.

MASQUERADE PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

-Costumes must be relevant to Anime Milwaukee’s theme. Anime, manga, music, live action, or video games, etc.
-Non-relevant performances may be allowed at the Department Head’s discretion.
-You may not compete in a costume that has won an award at another convention or a previous Anime Milwaukee. You may walk the stage/give your performance as exhibition only and will not be eligible to win a prize.
-Do not leave any part of your costume/body paint behind on the stage or other contestants.
-ABSOLUTELY NO LOOSE GLITTER.
-Walk-ons are limited to 30 seconds.
-Skits are limited to four minutes.
-All cosplay walk-ons and skits must check-in prior to the Masquerade. All participants in a group walk-on or skit for the Masquerade must be in attendance to be checked in during Masquerade Office Hours.
-All skits will need to be run through with the Masquerade Department for final approval.
-Bring your audio in MP3 format to the Masquerade Office at the convention during your check-in.
