CHIP Mentor Application
The CHIP Mentoring Program is a Baltimore- based program for children having incarcerated parents, run through local non profit Alternative Directions Inc. After being referred, children are matched with a volunteer mentor from the community. Our program's goal is to build positive and consistent long term friendships through one- on- one mentoring and group activities.

Mentors are expected to:
-Be over the age of 21
-Comply with background checks (provided by us.)
-Attend mandatory initial orientation
-Minimum of 4 hours a month
-To have fun with your mentee!

*Please be thorough with your application so we can make a proper match for the child. We apologize that the application is kind of lengthy, but we need to get as much information as we can. We appreciate your time and efforts!

If you have any questions or chose to fill out an application another way, please contact Program Coordinator Anjali Tallapragada. You can email at atalla@alternativedirectionsinc.org or call at 410-889-5072.
