Dressing up is encouraged! Your costume could be anything, it doesn’t have to be scary!
You could decorate the room too with cobwebs made out of black bin bags, Christmas twinkly lights, pumpkins, bats made from egg boxes and so many more crafts that could keep you busy during half term. If you want to join in and get messy with some of the activities you will need some terrifying supplies! Don’t worry if you don’t have the supplies, you can still enjoy all the fun by watching Wendy the Witch make a mess!

Ingredients…

1x Toilet Roll for each child

Monster Messy Play
Hide sweets and spooky items in some yucky gloop!
Get your hands messy! Use whatever you want to! Lay towels down or a plastic cloth to catch the mess. Put the gloop in bowls, trays, braking trays, saucepans, boxes, plastic storage tubs.
Here’s some messy suggestions…

Flour
Jelly
Rice
Spaghetti (cooked and cold)
Water (add food colouring for fun)
Yoghurt
Dry pasta
Shredded Paper
Raisin rat droppings

Spooky plastic toys can be bought from supermarkets and pound shops etc.


Exploding Potion
Some science now, I mean sorcery!! Make a bubbling, exploding witches potion! You will need…
A bottle with a long neck (j2o, beer, wine, ribena etc) One bottle per person or work as a team
clear vinegar
baking soda
food colouring
water in a jug
table spoon
funnel to help with pouring
towels to mop up..!
bag or basket to transfer towels to washing machine
