Yoga at MVUUF
Chair yoga (Tuesday and Friday from 9:00-9:50am) is for those who find great difficulty getting up and down off a mat. It offers a series of stretches for the neck, shoulders, hips and legs, meant to increase flexibility, strength, balance, and breath control. It does include a standing sun salutation and balance work with chair support. This class is appropriate for individuals who’ve never taken yoga before, as well as long-time yogis. A strap and block are often used in class.
Gentle yoga (Wednesday 9:00-9:50am) on the mat is for those who have some experience with yoga and are comfortable getting up and down from the floor. We do a slow and gentle series of poses, which vary slightly class to class. A strap and block are used regularly. This class is meant to increase strength, flexibility, balance and breath control.
Once you join the meeting, you will be in a waiting room until the instructor admits you to the class. Please enter the Zoom room about 10 minutes before class whether or not you care to visit. That gives Fran a chance to admit everyone speedily.
