Volunteers will be out on course helping to direct runners. The course begins at Timberline Lodge and takes teams on roads around the mountain, through the pines and over the rivers, up Cooper Spur Rd and down through the orchards into downtown Hood River to Waterfront Park on the banks of the mighty Columbia River!
Race volunteers generally have at least as much fun as the runners, and volunteers are invited and encouraged to attend the celebration at the finish line, and enjoy a Pfriem beer on the house.
Volunteers must be able to sign up for their shift and sign the waiver on-line. You will be notified when sign-up opens so you can chose your time and location. (Though times/locations can't be guaranteed.) Shifts are on Sunday, June 14, for 5 hours or less (plus drive time) between 6:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. See the event website for more information - https://www.gorgeousseries.com/ghthr-volunteers.html.
Sign up today and support the Mazamas in a “gorge-ous” setting!
