On behalf of Our Blood Counts, we ask for your support in calling for a blood plasma donor centre in northern BC.

Why a northern BC centre?

Canada still relies heavily on U.S. plasma donors, despite increasing domestic collection.
Plasma-based medications are essential for patients with serious illnesses.
Canadian Blood Services needs a million new blood donors over the next five years.
Northern BC residents want to donate but must travel long distances to do so.

Canadian Blood Services recently opened a plasma donor centre in Thunder Bay, Ontario, demonstrating a potential model for northern BC.
