Bronze Medallion - Expression of Interest - 2025
Thanks for your expression of interest in the Bronze Medallion course at Bronte! 

To be eligible for this course you will need full availability for ALL of the scheduled dates. Which will involve mandatory Monday nights and Saturday mornings, plus optional but highly recommended sessions at 6am on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. You can read more in the pre-course information guide here. 

You will also need to demonstrate your ability to swim 400m (or 420m at Bronte Pool) of freestyle in under 8 minutes and 45 seconds (or 8mins 30 seconds in a wetsuit) prior to this course beginning. 

Passing the swim proficiency does not guarantee entry into the course.

After completing the course, you will be assigned to a regular patrol team for a minimum of 1 season (September-April). This is all outlined in the Commitment to Patrol agreement.

At Bronte, Patrols are divided into Saturday and Sunday, morning and afternoon shifts, totalling approximately 8-10 patrols per season (including some public holidays). You'll be assigned one of the 16 patrols based on the Club's needs and in consideration of your preferences.
