"Ayekha" Where are you?

A Memoir and Reflection about Antisemitism,

Anti-Zionism and the Western Response to

October 7th, 2023. with Dr. Ted Rosenberg.

Join us on Sunday, September 14 at 7:00 PM for an inspiring evening with Dr. Ted Rosenberg, award-winning physician and author of the powerful new book Ayekha (Where are you?).
Dr. Rosenberg’s story is one of moral courage. A graduate of Joseph Wolinsky Collegiate and the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Medicine, his career has taken him from Churchill and Indigenous communities in northern Manitoba to founding an innovative geriatric house-call practice in Victoria, BC. In 2024, he resigned from the University of British Columbia over its refusal to address rising antisemitism on campus — a decision that led to the writing of Ayekha.
The book’s title comes from the Torah: when Adam and Eve hid after eating from the Tree of Life, God asked, “Where are you?” (Ayekha?) The same question was posed to Moses when he fled the suffering of the Israelites. Today, in the wake of the October 7th Hamas massacre and the surge of antisemitism in the West, Dr. Rosenberg asks the world: Where are you?
All book sales support the first Jewish day school in Victoria, BC, which opened on October 7th, 2024. Bring your copy to the event for a personal signing.
