RoseFort Community Development CIC is a Company Limited by Guarantee, incorporated under the provisions of the Companies Act. Its Articles of Association include the following provisions:

Objectives:

The objects of the Company are to carry out activities which benefit the community and in particular (without limitation) to:

  • Advancing Community Wealth Building through the local ownership of land and assets, supporting the creation of jobs, and financial investment in the community.

  • Advancing the social, economic and environmental development of the community.

Membership Criteria:

  • Every person who wishes to become a member shall deliver to the company an application for membership in such form (and containing such information) as the Directors require and executed by him or her.

  • Members may only be from within the area of Fortrose and Rosemarkie, as defined by the map of the Community Council boundary.
