    PERSONAL HYGIENE POLICY

    Production Hygiene No food, drink, personal belongings or smoking is permitted in the production areas. Personal Hygiene • Nails must be short, clean free of false fingernails and varnish • Long hair must be neatly contained. • No jewellery other than plain wedding rings or wristbands and sleeper earrings to be worn. If any specific jewellery, ethnic, medical or religious reasons is required to be worn, permission must be given by the Quality Manager or the Production Manager. • Excessive use of perfume or aftershave is not permitted. Protective Clothing Protective clothing (Coat and single-use hairnet) must be worn at all times in the production area. Protective clothing must be removed prior to visiting toilets / restroom, etc. Fitness and First Aid • Any wound or sore must be treated and covered with a plaster (or dressing) prior to entering the production. • Only visually detectable plasters are to be used in the production area. These are obtainable from your First Aider who records and checks usage. • Any lost plaster MUST be reported immediately to the site manager. • No medicines should be taken into the production. If any medicines are needed, the site manager should be informed prior to them being brought onto the site. Hand washing You must wash your hands before commencing work, after visiting the toilet area and any other time you re-enter the production area (e.g. after breaks )
