We're $$ hiring Somerville teens (ages 13 - 17) to be part of a team to raise awareness of youth and problem gambling through a virtual photo exhibit. Participants will learn about social justice and health issues; build skills in advocacy and photography; and gain knowledge about underage gambling and healthy risk-taking.
$$$ Stipends will be provided based on participation and upon completion of the project for both youth (up to $240) and adult caregivers (up to $50). Youth will also earn 12-26 volunteer hours.
Selected youth must have parent/guardian permission to participate. Adult caregivers will be asked to attend the virtual photo exhibit and participate in a virtual fun activity.
Meeting will be held on Zoom for training and project planning once a week for about 1 hour. Once all participants are selected and youth availability is determined, a final schedule will be provided.
