Claymont ESSER Survey

Claymont is receiving another round of monies (ESSER III) that must be used to support the allowable activities as listed below. We are seeking input from the community for the best ways to utilize the money to position Claymont to meet the future needs of the students.

Claymont has purchased the following using ESSER monies.

1. Boiler replacements at Claymont Middle School and Eastport Elementary.

2. Teacher and student chromebooks to support remote learning.

3. Remote learning tools and resources for teachers.

4. Cleaning supplies and equipment to sanitize facilities.

5. Water bottle filler stations to replace water fountains that were not allowed to be used.

6. Hand washing stations for students.

7. Curriculum updates for Science (digital components to support remote learning) for grades 3-12.

8. Personal protective equipment (masks, gloves,barriers) for staff and students.

9. Staff professional development.

10. Wages and benefits paid for staff on leave due to Covid or quarantine (10 days max).

11. Extended learning costs for after school tutoring and summer school.
