The Minnesota Youth Institute (MNYI) engages high school students in solving local and global hunger issues. This interactive, virtual half-day program brings teens from across the state to the University of Minnesota for an immersive experience while connecting with research and industry leaders. MNYI serves as a gateway to the World Food Prize Symposium, global travel, internships, and a scholarship to the University of Minnesota.
There are many ways to get involved as a student, teacher, parent or community member!
- Students: let us know that you're interested and we will send helpful tips and information for writing the paper along with other opportunities available at CFANS & UMN. Note that requesting information is NOT the same as registering for the MNYI.
- Teachers/parents: complete this form and be added to the teacher/mentor mailing list.
- Community members: volunteer as a paper reader, expert judge, appear as an field expert/panelist, a facilitator day of the event, etc.
