The Minnesota Youth Institute (MNYI) engages high school students in solving local and global hunger issues. This interactive, program brings teens from across the state to the University of Minnesota for an immersive experience while connecting with research and industry leaders. MNYI serves as a gateway to the World Food Prize Foundation's annual Borlaug International Dialogue, global travel, internships, fellowships, and a $1,000 scholarship to the University of Minnesota's College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences.
There are many ways to get involved as a student, teacher, parent or community member!
- Students: let us know that you're interested and we will send helpful tips and information for writing the paper along with other opportunities available at CFANS & UMN. Note that requesting information is NOT the same as registering for the MNYI.
- Teachers/parents: complete this form and be added to the teacher/mentor mailing list.
- Community members and alumni: volunteer as a paper reader, roundtable expert, host immersions as an field expert/panelist, a facilitator day of the event, etc.
