Ellsworth School District staff play an important role in the lives of our students, families and the community. Each month the school board recognizes outstanding staff members, highlights their achievements at a school board meeting and posts the highlights on the district website and social media.
The Ellsworth High Five award has been established by the school board to recognize outstanding people who serve the Ellsworth School District in an exceptional manner by exemplifying outstanding dedication, professionalism, and work qualities. There are many employees who work very hard every day and routinely meet or exceed expectations. This award is designed for the school board to recognize those employees who truly stand out among their peers in the district.
In order to receive a 'High Five' award, the individual must be nominated by a student, parent, administrator, colleague, or community member here in the Ellsworth School District. Choose one or more of the following criteria for your nomination.
Motivation-Having the ability to motivate and encourage students or colleagues to advance past their expectations academically, professionally and/or socially.
Excellence on the job-consistently advancing students to higher levels of achievement and/or meeting the goals and mission of the district in their work.
Dedication-showing excellent attendance, punctuality and a desire to go above and beyond to meet the mission and goals of the district.
Initiative- a willingness to seek new responsibilities, methods, equipment and tools.
Creativity and Imagination- Demonstrating creativity and imagination in instructional or professional practices that inspire students and/or colleagues.
Impact- demonstrating leadership skills that have a positive impact on the school and/or community. .
Integrity- communicates openly and honestly, takes accountability for their actions, shows flexibility and patience when faced with challenges.
Respect-Treats others with appreciation, dignity, and gratitude.
