Thank you for your interest in serving on the 2024-2025 New England Resident Service Coordinators, Inc. Annual Conference Planning Committee. We make every effort to create a well-rounded and diverse committee to help bring together a mix of new members who bring fresh perspectives and different experiences, and existing members who bring with them planning experience and knowledge. The intention of this committee is to include a balanced number of representatives from each of the six New England states and states from other regions who have previously attended the NERSC conference. Committee capacity is 20 members, plus the NERSC President, Education Board Chair, and staff.  

Below are the expectations and responsibilities you accept by applying to be a Conference Planning Committee Member. Please understand that changes may occur due to the structure and content of the conference programming.

1. You commit to working with other members of the committee, the Executive Director, NERSC President, and Director of Events to manage and plan every aspect of the conference.

2. You commit to attending 80% of all planning meetings via zoom.

The tentative meeting schedule includes 9 planning meetings: August, September, October (tentative in person meeting at New Hampshire Housing), November, December, February, March, April, and May. A meeting poll will be sent to all selected CPC members to vote on meeting dates that work best for the majority.

3. You commit to volunteering for tasks, projects, and conference calls that may take place outside of the scheduled group meetings for the overall success of the conference.

4. You commit to finding and voting on all workshop presentations, keynote speakers, wellness providers, entertainment activities, schedules, newcomer events, networking opportunities, volunteering onsite, and recruiting exhibitors and sponsors.

5. You commit to fundraising a minimum of $5,000 to help reach our sponsor and exhibitor goal. As an organization for Resident Service Coordinators by Resident Service Coordinators, this is crucial to keep costs down and reasonable. This may be the first time you are fundraising and the staff at NERSC, Inc. are committed to supporting your learning and helping each member reach new levels of their comfort zone. 

6. You commit to volunteering onsite to help the conference run efficiently, act as a resource for attendees, and connect attendees to their state associations.

Selected Conference Planning Committee members will receive:

1. 50% off discount on the conference registration rate. MUST ATTEND 80% of meetings prior to registration opening in January/February to be eligible.

2. Recognition at the conference and in conference materials.

3. Certificate of appreciation.

4. Personal and professional development as a conference organizer, leader, and through educational sessions offered at the conference.

You must have your supervisor's permission to participate on the Conference Planning Committee.

The conference planning committee application deadline is Friday, June 14, 2024.

All completed forms will be reviewed, and applicants will be notified by Friday, June 28, 2024.
