RDYO 2020-2021 Questionnaire and Consent Form
This form is intended to outline RDYO's expectations for families this year, as well as our current plans for rehearsals. There are three parts to this form: Health and Safety, Division Managers, and Media Consent. Each section has a variety of information, please take the time to read through it.
RDYO Rehearsal Plan
We have been delayed in finalizing our rehearsal schedule this year due to a lack of available locations for our rehearsals. We are beginning online for our September 19 and 26 rehearsals, please watch for an email with your rehearsal time and zoom link.
Our top priority is the safety of everyone involved, including musicians, conductors, administrators, and families. We will be re-opening in-person rehearsals in a slow and safe way, with a lot of planning between our staff and our rehearsal locations. We will continue to offer online rehearsals until we are able to open our doors to in-person rehearsals, and will emphasize smaller groups when we do interact with others.
For our October rehearsals, we are hoping to establish a pattern of in-person and online rehearsals for each division. We have currently secured one location and are planning to secure a second before announcing the overall schedule. As much as we would like to announce rehearsal locations far in advance, we are unable to confirm these locations more than a month in advance. We will share the October schedule in the last week of September.
Registration numbers also affect our scheduling. We are currently planning in-person rehearsals for the number of musicians that have completed their registration including paying tuition fees. If your registration is processed after we determine our in-person schedule, we may not be able to accommodate you for the next in-person rehearsal due to limited numbers at the rehearsal venue.
Finally, if you would like to read through our COVID-19 safety plan, it can be found at the following link:
PART 1: Health and Safety in Times of COVID-19
This document contains important information about our decision (yours and ours) to resume in-person rehearsals in light of the COVID-19 public health crisis. Please read this carefully and email
if you have any specific questions or concerns.
If there is a resurgence of the pandemic or if other health concerns arise, however, we may require that we move to fully-online rehearsals until it becomes safe enough to meet in-person again. Please understand that if we believe it is necessary, we may determine that we return to online rehearsals for everyone’s well-being.
When you digitally sign this document, it will be the official agreement between you and the Richmond Delta Youth Orchestra for your participation in rehearsals this year. You will also be required to fill out the online registration form and pay any owing tuition and volunteer fees.
Do you agree to meet for in-person rehearsals?
Yes, I agree to meet for in-person rehearsals on a rotating schedule (ie. one week in-person, one week online) unless it is deemed necessary to change to fully online rehearsals.
No, I prefer to participate online through online zoom rehearsals and recorded in-person rehearsals.
