RSVP now - Labor for Kshama Solidarity Rally & Fundraiser
Join UAW leaders, nurses leaders, tech union activists & more this Saturday, Jan 23rd @ 3:00 pm on Zoom to stand in solidarity with Councilmember Kshama Sawant, against the billionaire-backed, right-wing Recall Campaign.

For six years, Councilmember Kshama Sawant, a member of the American Federation of Teachers Local 1789, has been the most consistent fighter for unions and working people in City Hall. She was at the forefront of the movements for the $15 minimum wage and the Amazon Tax, and she stood unapologetically with the Black Lives Matter movement last summer. And while the establishment has repeatedly failed to respond to the COVID-19 crisis, Kshama has called for not just an extension of the eviction moratorium until the end of 2021, but also for the cancellation of rent & mortgage payments for the duration of the pandemic. She is also leading the fight for a Green New Deal jobs program for Seattle, to create thousands of good-paying union jobs that would strengthen the labor movement and put our unemployed siblings back to work.

With mounting global crises and growing threats from the far-right, we need fighters like Kshama in office. We need the whole labor movement to say loud and clear to big business & the right-wing: “hands off our union sister, hands off Sawant!"

RSVP to join us Saturday, 1/23 @ 3pm to show Kshama that the labor movement has her back. Solidarity ✊
