2020 Teacher Workshops in Conservation Science Registration
Teacher Workshops in Conservation Science focuses not only on conservation science, but also on how to inspire a passion for nature in every person you engage with, whether in a formal classroom or informal setting. Our program is meant for educators from around the world who engage 6th-12th grade students, but is also appropriate for informal educators, administrators, and undergraduate professors. Even if you don't teach science in a formal setting, this program has something for you.

You can find a pre-written justification letter to edit and share with your principle/supervisor here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1m91-H4-GY7Ua18z3oq78xjbXT8yTpsQui_4c5x0xuJw/edit?usp=sharing

We suggest you register with a partner from your school or organization so that you have built-in support when implementing the new tools and materials you have gained from the workshop. At least one person on your team must be a life sciences teacher, the other can teach any subject at all. We welcome cross-curricular teams!

The $2,000 registration fee for this residential program includes all meals and lodging for the duration of the workshop, in addition to program fees, special experiences, and materials. You will spend Monday and Tuesday night of each program in the Roar & Snore Safari tents (glamping!) at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park in Escondido, CA. Each permanent tent is outfitted with a cot, a camp chair, several four inch sleeping pads, and an electric lantern. Our campground is outfitted with full restrooms and showers, and limited electrical outlets are available if necessary.

If you are unable to find professional development funds to cover the $2,000 registration fee, you are welcome to apply through our grant-funded scholarships using our other application form: https://forms.gle/y32kvPEuoF1C3HRQ8
