Community Consultation - Health Education

As part of our commitment to explicitly teaching the NZ Curriculum, we believe it is important to collect community voice to ensure our teaching and learning programmes are meeting the diverse needs of our students. The below questions centre around the Junior Health portion of the Health & Physical Education Curriculum. Your responses to the below questions would be greatly appreciated.

Below is an example of our Year 9 Curriculum, with a brief over-view of the teaching and learning programme. There are 6 lessons on each 'topic' every term. The key concepts of the Health curriculum are; Health Promotion, Hauora, Socio-ecological perspective (understanding issues from different perspectives) and the promotion of positive attitudes and values.
Below is an example of our Year 10 Curriculum, with a brief over-view of the teaching and learning programme. There are 6 lessons on each 'topic' every term. As you can see, we aim to build upon the learning from Year 9 to strengthen understanding of key concepts (such as Hauora).
