Destined Inc. Read 2 Succeed Mentoring Program. September 9, 2024 - April 24,2025  Monday and Thursdays, 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm  Funded in part by Athens Clarke County Government
Destined Inc. R2S Youth Mentoring Program for the 2024 -2025 school year.  Grades K - 6.
  • Please enroll your child into the Reading Mentoring program.  Drs. T, Reneta, Jo and their teaching staff will provide tutoring beginning September 9, 2024.
  • In January, your child will be matched with a trained Reading Buddy grades 7 - 12th to read a book, practice fluency or reading speed, and practice reading comprehension.  Note:  The Destined Teachers will be on hand to provide support, and in some cases continue the direct support to students who needs it.  We ask that you sign up for either Monday or Thursday as the day your child will see his or her Reading Buddy; however, your child is welcome to come both days for group support and homework support.  We are a reading program but will assist with Math as support is available.
  • Last, we want to continue to build this village and connect with you as the parent or guardian.
    Parent Workshops will occur on these dates, 2 pm - 4 pm   (Dec 14, Feb. 8, Mar. 8).  Bring the babies, we will have planned activities for them during this time.

  • Student IEP other documentation that will help our certified teachers prepare better for your student. 
  • Any other documentation behavior, psychological, emotional etc. that will help us understand your child’s needs.  
  • Pay Stub, documentation to show your income.  This is for reporting purposes only.  We have to report demographic information regarding how many families fall into different economic groups.  You will find the question on this application.
  • Bring $100 annual fee - money order or check written to Destined Inc. 

    Every student receives a $1437 scholarship for the R2S Reading Mentoring Program. The cost is approximately $1537 per student for the program to operate. We operate on a village approach. Parents/Guardians are expected to invest.

    Parents/Guardians your cost is only $100 for the entire school year for the tutoring program - September 9, 2024 - April 24, 2025!!!        We would like you to bring the fee in the form of a check or money order written to Destined Inc. to orientation on Monday, September 5th.  If there is a hardship, we will work with you. Don't fret, we do our best, we just ask that everyone does their very best, no judgement, only love. For hardships or other questions, Contact Dr. T by phone at 706-461-6678 prior to August 25th so that you can agree with an arrangement that works best for your child.
