This zine is being made to help support the wonderful actress,
Rachael Lillis, who you may know from Revolutionary Girl Utena, Beserk, or many peoples first exposure to her; Misty and Jessie from Pokemon the Original Series.
Sadly, Rachael has fallen on hard times, as she has been suffering from breast cancer. Her sister has a gofundme to help raise money to get her a caregiver, so she can go home. You can get more info here:

Rachael has been a huge part of so many of ours childhoods, and I want us to blast past this goal and beyond so she, nor her family, will have to have any worry about the financial hardships of at home caregiving. Thus, this zine was born!
The Theme of the zine is "Poke Companions" -- for we are never alone on our journeys, through life, or to the Elite Four! Everyone who gets into this Zine can pick from Jessie or Misty, and pick one of the many pokemon they had during the run of the show. Multiple Artists can have the same pokemon, but we will try to keep it varied enough!
other characters can be included in the art (ex. Brock or James) but lets keep the centerpoint of the piece Jessie, Misty, or both!
Deadline for Apps with me May 23rd, and due to the severity of the issue, Artwork will be due June 23rd! (about a month turnaround, the faster the better!) so please keep that in mind when you apply.
After which, the zine will be up for digital orders, with all the money going to Rachaels GFM/Family (depending on if the GFM will be up once the Zine comes out, we will update from there) -- there could be a possibility for physical releases of the zine, but I would rather keep it digital so as much money as possible can go to the cause!
