This survey is intended to gather more information about Project Gutenberg’s visitors and their demographics. Additionally we are also seeking individuals who would be interested in participating in a visitor experience research project to help guide changes to the Project Gutenberg website. Participation in the research study is optional and we appreciate your time in providing us with your response!

Any questions that you may be uncomfortable responding to can be skipped by selecting “Prefer not to respond”. You can also stop participating at any time, simply by not submitting your results.

About the Visitor Survey

Project Gutenberg is seeking to better understand the characteristics and interests of people who visit www.gutenberg.org. The survey asks questions to understand who is visiting the website, and to get some insights into their purposes for visiting.

Your responses to the survey are confidential, and will be used to better understand Project Gutenberg’s website visitors. Analysis provided to Project Gutenberg will not identify any of the respondents.

About the Interview

The research project will invite participation in a one on one interview session with a student researcher. The interview will be conducted in a teleconference using either the Zoom desktop or mobile application. All materials can be accessed on either a mobile or desktop device. Participants will be asked to follow instructions to perform tasks on the Project Gutenberg website while sharing their screen with the researcher. Questions will also gather thoughts and opinions about Project Gutenberg, and any feedback or suggestions.

Any information provided will be kept confidential and only used for research purposes and to make recommendations to Project Gutenberg for improvements. 

Participation in the interview requires you to be 18 years of age or older.
