Our Heath Barn - Become a Founding Member

Own a Piece of Heath Barn

We're establishing a Community Benefit Society, a model that allows local people to invest in Heath Barn by purchasing shares, becoming member-owners with a real vote in how the building is run.

We are currently in the process of formally applying for a Community Benefit Society through Co-ops UK and registered through the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). This is a process that takes around a month to complete. Whilst we do that, we want to hear from you now. Completing this form costs you nothing and does not commit you. It simply tells us that you are interested, so we can keep you informed and contact you the moment the offer goes Live.

What does investing mean?

Through a minimum investment of £100, you can become a founding and lifetime member of Heath Barn.

Becoming a member of our Community Benefit Society means more than investing in a building, it means having a say in how Heath Barn serves this community now and for generations to come.  Shareholders/ members hold equal voting rights regardless of how many shares they own. One vote per member.

People who choose to invest in societies, tend to do so for socially motivated and philanthropic reasons rather than financial return. In time, you may be able to withdraw your initial investment back from the Society. This is subject to the Society's financial position and members' agreement. Any surplus generated will be used for the benefit of the community.

Your details are held securely and will only be used to contact you about the Heath Barn share offer.
