Seventh edition of Symposium for Contemporary Animation Studies Animafest Scanner will be held on 08 - 10 June 2020, during the 30th edition of the World Festival of Animated Film Animafest Zagreb (08 - 13 June 2020).

This year’s keynote speaker is the recipient of Animafest Zagreb Award for Outstanding Contributions to Animation Studies for 2020, Chris Robinson.

By connecting animation with topics like politics, feminism, psychology and poetry, the symposium Animafest Scanner is again at the frontline of the discourse and the interaction between theoretical and practical approaches. Located at one of the most respected animation festivals in the world, it is a meeting point of many leading artists and professionals. The seventh edition of the Symposium for Contemporary Animation, Animafest Scanner VII aims to stimulate the exchange between filmmakers and scholars.
