Pakistan Resolution Day
The Lahore Resolution, also known as the Pakistan Resolution (Urdu: قرارداد پاکستان‎, Qarardad-e-Pakistan), was a formal political resolution or statement, which resulted in the creation of ‘independent states’ for Muslims of the sub continent. The resolution was adopted March 23, 1940 at Minto Park (now renamed 'Iqbal Park'), in Lahore, to achieve the goal of the Muslim League for an independent state.

Today, the resolution's importance is remembered in Pakistan, by the Minar-e-Pakistan structure that stands in the Iqbal Park, Lahore.
