Home is Here: March for DACA and TPS - Donor Support Form
On November 12th, 2019, the Supreme Court of the United States will begin proceedings to review the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Their decision will determine the fate of more than 700,000 young people, who through DACA have been able to go to college, secure gainful employment, drive, access healthcare, and not have to fear being deported and separated from their families.

The fate of 320,000 Temporary Protected Status (TPS) recipients lies in the courts, as well. TPS has allowed for immigrants who cannot return to their countries of origin because of a natural disaster, or ongoing armed conflict, to live safely in the United States with their families and loved ones. Now, like DACA recipients, TPS recipients face the possibility of losing their protections.

Home is Here: March for DACA and TPS is a critical organizing opportunity to:
1) Re-connect with the American public about the importance of fighting to protect DACA and TPS, and demonstrate to the Supreme Court the widespread public support for the programs;
2) Mobilize and empower DACA and TPS recipients across the country; and
3) Lay the groundwork necessary to pass a pathway to citizenship for all non-citizen migrants, including DACA recipients, TPS recipients, and intercountry adoptees.

Our march will begin in New York, New York on Saturday, October 26th. We will stop in Philadelphia, PA (Thursday, October 31st - Friday, November 1st) and Baltimore, MD (Thursday, November 7th - Friday, November 8th), before finally arriving to Washington, DC (Sunday, November 10th). We will march to the Supreme Court together on Tuesday, November 12th, when the court will convene to hear oral arguments for DACA.

More information about the march can be found on our website at (http://homeisheremarch.org).

Are you able to help us secure lodging along the route? *
Please find our route here (homeisheremarch.org), or look at the towns listed on the next question, so you know where we are looking for lodging in!
If you are able to commit to securing lodging in any of the towns listed below, please indicate which ones!
***NOTE: Our lodging should be wheelchair-accessible! We are hoping to find large spaces (churches, schools, etc) for our folks to stay together at night. We would be grateful for whatever people can offer, so long as we have a floor to sleep on (and if available, showers to use)!
How many people can sleep in the lodging option you can help us secure?
Your answer
If the lodging you can help us secure is not wheelchair-accessible, please indicate so in the space below.
***NOTE: Our priority still remains finding wheelchair-accessible housing.
Your answer
Are you able to help us secure a place to shower for folks along the route? *
We would like to be able to wash up after a long day of marching, and our lodging options do not always have showers available for our folks to use! :(
If you are able to commit to securing a place to shower for our folks in any of the towns listed below, please indicate which ones!
***NOTE: They should be wheelchair-accessible! In the past, community members have offered a place to shower at their homes, and have even helped us to secure showers at local YMCAs, community pools, and gyms. Whatever option you can offer us, we would be grateful to have!
If the shower options you can help us secure are not wheelchair-accessible, please indicate so in the space below.
***NOTE: Our priority still remains finding wheelchair-accessible showers.
