To better serve our mission and plan our signature events throughout the semester, Trustees will be divided into three smaller Sub-Societies, as described below. In the checkboxes, please select the societies you would be interested in being a part of.
Sub-Society Descriptions:
External Communications Society Broadly, external communications will be responsible for managing 1634 Society's relationship with the student body through several avenues, such as social media, flyers, and physical marketing materials. As a Trustee in the external communications sub-society, you will be able to build your graphic design skills by designing social media content as well as flyers. In addition, you will gain valuable public relations experience by being at the forefront of 1634's collaborations with other student organizations at Georgetown. There will be several opportunities to engage with the activities that you'd like to participate in, including Instagram story takeovers on both 1634's and Georgetown University's accounts and structured campaigns for 1634's signature events. We will meet more frequently (weekly basis) around our events. During other times, meetings will be held as needed. Please contact Ella Montano (elm117@georgetown.edu) or Andrew Liu (al1857@georgetown.edu) with any questions. We look forward to working with you!
Operations and Logistics Society
As part of the Operations and Logistics Society, you will aid the Events team in brainstorming games, activities, and club partnerships to streamline and enrich the 1634 Society Signature Events planning process. Creativity, organization, and communication are key in this position, since you will play an active role in maintaining and expanding the Society’s presence through campus-wide festivities. We look forward to your vision and your ideas! Please contact Samuel Callan (swc50@georgetown.edu), Ryan Li (rl1125@georgetown.edu), or Devon Wald (dmw139@georgetown.edu) with any additional questions or concerns!
Stewardship Society
One of the major initiatives of the 1634 Society is thank and support those who have given back to the university financially or otherwise, also known as Stewardship! The Stewardship Sub-Society will be responsibility for leading two of our major stewardship-based efforts for the fall, our TAG (Thanking Alumni and Friends for Giving) Day as well as our alumni letter-writing outreach to thank alumni for their generous donations to the school. Any other ideas to make donors feel thanked and excited to give back to Georgetown? We'd love to hear it! Please contact James Balsamo (jrb403@georgetown.edu) or Dylan Fiore (dnf13@georgetown.edu) with any questions.
