Feedback and Support Questionnaire

INTRODUCTION

A big thank you to everyone who has asked to be added to the The Swan Enford Village WhatsApp group and for those who were able to attend the general meeting at the village hall on Friday June 6th. Your support and input is welcomed and appreciated.

As outlined at the Village Hall meeting, there are two main activities being undertaken to protect and keep the Swan operational:

1. Short Term - keeping the pub open or limiting the closure to a minimum

2. Longer Term - Ownership & Structure going forward

This feedback and questionnaire form is being provided as a first step to gain your thoughts / input, along with whether you are in a position to physically support the operation of the Swan in the short term and whether you would be interested in financially supporting in the long term.

As stated at the meeting, plans are in the early formative stage and will naturally evolve over time, so this is not a definitive or last chance to be involved. This is especially true for the longer term ownership, so what this could look like cannot be provided at this stage.

THOUGHTS & IDEAS

INTERIM RUNNING OF THE SWAN - DRINKS ONLY

The tasks below are volunteer activities and may last for a number of weeks / months. Bar staff work will include changing barrels, cleaning lines, general cleaning, till operation and yes, the toilets. Training and support will be provided.

Shift work behind the bar - fixed times / on a rota basis

Shift work behind the bar - adhoc, based on availability

Gardening - task driven, not fixed times

General building maintenance - task driven, not fixed times

Overseeing of deliveries / wholesaler collections

INTERIM RUNNING OF THE SWAN - FOOD

In the early stages it is not the intention to have a food offering, but this could change depending upon your feedback.

Cold food prep - fixed times, on a rota basis

Hot food prep - fixed times, on a rota basis

COMMUNICATIONS

There is a need to revamp and maintain the Swan website. There is also a need to operate both Facebook and Instagram for marketing / announcements.

Website - update, periodic posts

Facebook & Instagram - announcement posts, marketing campaigns.

FUTURE FUNDING INTEREST

In the longer term there may exist opportunities to invest in the Swan to support its existence as a pub and community asset. It must be stressed that at this stage various plans and options are only just being formulated, therefore no financial information can be provided.
