The program is structured as a 8-week long commitment, with 3-5 practicing architect volunteers visiting a single classroom once a week for the duration of one class period (90-120 minutes). The curriculum consists of an introduction to architecture and design, design exercises, a final group project, and a field trip.
This year we will be teaching in Chavez Elementary (Back of the Yards) and Sawyer Elementary (Gage Park). We are looking for lead mentor and assistant mentor positions.
