South Yorkshire Early Outcomes Project: Training Evaluation - Rotherham Universal Online
Welcome to the evaluation portal for training delivered through the South Yorkshire Early Outcomes Project.

As you may be aware, the four Local Authorities in South Yorkshire (Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham & Sheffield) have joined forces with Sheffield Hallam University's Social Mobility Partnership, South Yorkshire Futures, to tackle speech, language and communication delay in the early years, through funding from the Department for Education.

As part of this exciting project, we are delivering tailored professional development to address the needs of the region's children's workforce. This portal is designed to evaluate the training you have received through this project, so we can ensure it is fit for purpose and making an impact.

We used the Speech, Language & Communication Framework (SLCF) developed by The Communication Trust to identify the current levels of confidence and skills across the region, and used this evidence to design appropriate professional development opportunities. As part of this evaluation, we will be using the SLCF again to conduct pre and post self assessments.

The SLCF is a free online professional development tool which sets out the key skills and knowledge needed by the children and young people's workforce to support the development of speech, language and communication development of all children. You can find out more about the SLCF at www.slcframework.org.uk.
