Community Closet Donation Form
Thank you for your interest in donating to the Transhealth Community Closet.

Our Community Closet offers free clothing, cosmetics, and gender-affirming wear for anyone in the trans and gender-diverse community.

To donate to the Community Closet, we ask that you please complete this donation form. Please DO NOT donate without first filling out this form and speaking with a staff member from our Community Department. If you are interested in utilizing the Closet instead of donating, please email thcommunity@transhealth.org for details.

In addition to clothing donations, if you wish to support our Community Closet please consider purchasing some of the items listed on our Amazon Wishlist. Items purchased will be directly sent to Transhealth and ensure our community has access to essential clothing and hygiene products.

Notice of Donation Guidelines
The Transhealth Community Closet is NOT a standard clothing donation center. At this time, we are unable to accept bulk donations (large bins, bags or large quantities of similar items without prior approval). We do not have a large amount of space or capacity for donations like other organizations that specialize in taking in used clothing. Donations to the Community Closet are meant to uplift and support transgender and gender-diverse community members.

We cannot accept every donation available and cannot always take large scale donations. If you are just cleaning out your closet and have a bulk donation of clothes in very used condition or vintage pieces that have fallen out of fashion the Community Closet is not the best place to donate your clothes.

However, if you have a small quantity of good-quality clothes, cosmetics, or gender-affirming wear that you would give, we are happy to field your request.

If the condition of the items you wish to donate are not something you would be happy to gift to a close friend or loved one, we ask that you do not donate it to our Community Closet.

Some Items that we do not accept include:
  • Clothes that are damaged, have holes, or are significantly worn
  • Used underwear or socks
  • Unwashed clothes
  • Large bulk donations of clothing/several bags of clothes
  • Reusable surgery recovery items that can't be washed (eg. pillows without removable covers)
  • Packers or STPs not contained in original sealed packaging
Some items that we do accept and encourage donations of include (and are not limited to):
  • New or Lightly used Binders
  • TransTape
  • New Gaffs/tucking materials and shapewear
  • Unused and good quality cosmetics, makeup, beauty, and hygiene products
  • Small donations of good quality clothing, shoes, outerwear, seasonal clothes etc.
  • Purses/bags, accessories
  • Washed and clean clothes in an inclusive range of sizing
Donations must be local: We are a community based organization located in Western Massachusetts and donations must be brought to us in person. If you live outside of the region and are not able to physically bring in your donation, please do not complete this form.

If you wish to support the community closet but do not have the materials to donate or cannot deliver the items in person, please see our Amazon Wishlist. If you have additional questions about accepted donation items, please email thcommunity@transhealth.org.

Approved Donation Requests will receive a response from a member of our team within 1-2 weeks of submission for follow up questions or to arrange a drop off appointment with our Community Team. If you do not receive a response, we are unable to take in your donation.
