Lionel Cuffie Award for Activism and Excellence

The Lionel Cuffie Award for Activism and Excellence will be given to one graduating undergraduate student who identifies as lesbian, gay , bisexual, transgender, queer, asexual or ally. The awardee will receive a citation and a gift of $500. The following criteria must be met:

-Completion of the Undergraduate Degree in May, 2017
-Active in the LGBTQ communities on or off-campus for at least two years.
-Has worked to reduce prejudice against and to promote understanding of LGBTQ communities and issues
-Has worked with other campus or community groups to support multicultural issues and activities
-Is graduating with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA

The nomination process closes on April 23rd, 2017

The award will be presented at the annual Rainbow Graduation Tuesday, May 2nd, 2017, at 5:00pm in the College Avenue Student Center - MPR
