Femme Solidarity Open Mic Night: Performer Sign Up Form 🎤
Mosaic Cross Cultural Center, in collaboration with the the Cesar Chavez Community Action Center (CCCAC) and Gender Equity Center, is excited to announce our first ever Femme Solidarity Open Mic Night in celebration of Womxn's History Month and Chávez, Huerta, & Itliong (CHI) Month*!

*What is CHI Month?

Annually, the CCCAC hosts Chávez, Huerta, Itliong Month (CHI Month) in March to honor our namesake César Chávez during this Birthday Month, while recognizing that César’s work was in partnership with civil rights activists, Dolores Huerta and Larry Itliong. The month-long celebration consists of CHI Day of Celebration, and a series of programs and events that address and honor the life and legacy of César Chávez, continuing injustices farm workers are experiencing, and environmental/food justice topics. Learn more about CHI Month on the CCCAC website!

At this Open Mic, we are celebrating CHI Month by honoring the spirit of solidarity between farmworkers and civil rights activists of diverse backgrounds and Womxn's History Month by focusing on amplifying the voices and talents of woman and/or femme identified creatives!

  • We value free speech, not hate speech.
  • Attack the system, not the community.
  • Express, not impress.
  • Provide a TRIGGER WARNING (A statement at the start of your performance to let the audience know the content of your performance; ie, assault) if performing sensitive material
