Join us at the LBJ Library for an engaging one-day teacher workshop focusing on significant events during President Johnson’s administration. Educators will be provided with primary source based lessons and content knowledge on the topics of civil rights, the Great Society, the 1964 presidential election and the Vietnam War.

Tentative schedule:

8:30 - Breakfast
9:00 - Introduction to LBJ Library and National Archives Resources
10:00 - We Shall Overcome: The Fight for Voting Rights
11:30 - Lunch
12:00 - The Election Collection
1:00 - An Overview of the Vietnam War with Dr. Mark Lawrence from The University of Texas
2:45 - The Great Society: Then and Now
