Sign-up for your audition time for Arc Light's 2023 production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's musical "Cinderella" (Broadway edition)!
Auditions will be held Friday, May 12 from 6-9:00pm and Saturday, May 13 from 10:00am-1:00pm at Illini Bluffs High School in Glasford (Door #10). This is our summer/community production and is designed for the whole family, and as such auditions are open to ages 14 and up. We are hopeful for a LARGE cast!
Materials for the acting portion of the audition will be provided on site. Come prepared with a vocal audition of approximately 32-bars (1 minute) and bring music for a provided accompanist. Selections should NOT be from "Cinderella" but are encouraged to match the style of the show musically. Auditions will consist of the prepared vocal selection, a vocal range check, the provided acting scenes, and a brief discussion with directors.
Performances of "Cinderella" will be at Illini Bluffs High School on:
*Thursday, July 20 at 7:30pm
*Friday, July 21 at 7:30pm
*Saturday, July 22 at 2:30pm (*note the time for a Saturday matinee)
*Sunday, July 23 at 2:30pm
Rehearsals will be held at Illini Bluffs High School likely beginning the week of May 22nd on weeknights from 7-10pm. Typically rehearsals are scheduled 4 nights a week through June and 5 nights in July, although rehearsal content is typically blocked so that not all cast members are present at all rehearsals or for the full duration of rehearsals.
